Background

Welcome to my story! My name is Jacob Brindle and I am blessed to call the western Dubuque Community School District my home.  I started at Drexler Middle in Farley in 2003, and have been a 7-12 English/Language Arts Instructor in beautiful Cascade, IA, at Cascade Jr./Sr. High School since 2004. In addition to teaching, I volunteer with both the boys and girls basketball programs (coaching in some capacity since student teaching at Cascade in 2002), and am a mentor/model teacher. I love kids, teaching, and the world of education.

In my spare time I enjoy spending quality time with my beautiful wife and best friend Rachel. We are kept entertained by our seven-year-old twins Whitman and Marce, our five-year-old baby girl Roslyn, and the "Final Fourth," two-year-old Quincy. We try to travel as extensively as possible and love our time with family and friends in Iowa and across the country. I also "try" to be an avid runner and love to participate in local 5k’s, 8k’s, and other races, and have been fortunate enough to compete in and finish two Chicago marathons. I also enjoy music, golf, basketball, baseball, collecting coins, fishing, genealogy, partaking in good food, reveling in good conversation, and playing cards. I read and write as much as possible and love to communicate and interact with other teachers, advisors, and coaches to improve our crafts and trade insights.

I love life and am a firm believer that "Life loves the liver of it":)
