All-State Speech Honors
Congratulations to the Large Groups Speech Team on having 3 groups nominated to the IHSSA Large Group All State Festival at ISU on Feb. 17th. To earn this prestigious honor groups had to earn a I rating at the State Contest in Decorah this past Saturday AND be named by two of the three judges as top performers in their center. Earning Performing Honors are Ensemble Acting - Drugs are Bad with Liam Curoe, Mitchel Redmond, and Maddie Weber; and Radio Broadcasting – WTAG – The Hog: Where there’s No Bull with Austin Sanders, John Trumm, and Nick Welter. Earning Non-Performing Honors is the One Act Play - #Viral with Holly Beringer, Marcella
Bruns, Liam Curoe, Taylor Hogan, Nathan Knepper, Brittany
Koppes, Kate Manternach, Tonya Menke, Rachel
Merritt, Brianna Ostwinkle, Will Otting, Natalie
Recker, Shannon Rogers, John Trumm, Robyn Takes, and Caleb
Weber. All groups did a fantastic job on Saturday and have made CHS
proud. Congratulations once again to the entire team!
