DRA Grant 2016-2017
This past spring Drexler Middle/Intermediate School applied for $20,000+ funding through the Dubuque Racing Association to construct an outdoor classroom. DMIS is excited to thank the DRA along with the Mystique Casino and Diamond Jo Casino, in providing the funding for this outdoor classroom that will be located on the DMIS campus in Farley. The design for the classroom was created in conjunction with the Dubuque County Master Gardeners through the ISU extension office out Dubuque, Western Dubuque County Community School District, and Simon Lawn Care and Tree Service. The outdoor classroom will provide teachers and students an opportunity to experience science curriculum and other new learning experiences in an outdoor setting. The outdoor classroom is slated for construction this fall by Simon Lawn Care and Tree Service.
