Tip Tuesday
Some parents try to be so understanding that they alienate their teens. When your teens open up to you, don't be too quick to say you understand. Your teens may feel insulted if you treat their experiences as obvious or simplistic. Instead, take time to listen to them. Ask follow-up questions; don't assume you already know everything they have to say.
