Tip Tuesday
Sometimes students don't do their schoolwork because they are afraid they won't be able to do it. In those circumstances, some well-directed praise can make a difference. To boost your children's confidence, be positive. Tell them you know they can learn challenging material. Then be sure to praise effort and progress. When you do, be specific: "You didn't give up on that problem. Good for you!"
