My name is Ryan Hoerner and I am a Mathematics Teacher at Western Dubuque High School. This is my eighth year teaching mathematics and I have enjoyed every minute. I am originally from Epworth, Iowa where I attended Western Dubuque High School, Go Bobcats. After high school, I attended Wartburg College and received my Bachelors Degree in Mathematics with a Teaching Endorsement. While at Wartburg College, I participated on the football team where I was on a leadership team for two years and a captain my senior year.As a teacher, I believe that every student should be given the opportunity to learn in an environment that involves investigation, critical thinking, and collaboration. If these three environments are established in the classroom, every student has an opportunity to work at a pace to meet the challenges ahead of them and hopefully become successful.
