Students from historically underrepresented groups including female-identifying students and/or those with diverse cultural backgrounds. In their last year of an Iowa or Illinois based high school and committed to a 4-year degree program in the US.  An interest in the financial services industry. ALL IOWA OPPORTUNITY SCHOLARSHIP-outdated
Must be Iowa resident, Attending eligible Iowa college or university. Must have graduated in the last two years. Be a first-time college freshman in the fall 2021 or spring 2022. Must be continuously enrolled in college and continuously receiving a scholarship disbursement to renew a scholarship. Enroll for at least 3 semester hours (or the trimester or quarter equivalent) in a program leading to an undergraduate degree, diploma or certificate.  Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and Iowa Financial Aid Application by March 1.  Have an eligible Expected Family Contribution (EFC) on the 2021-22 FAFSA. (For reference, the eligible EFC range in 2020-21 was $0-$9,288.)

American Legion Merit Awards Application-outdated
Must be a graduating high school senior who resides in the American Legion Second District of Iowa (Clinton Co, Dubuque Co, Jackson Co, Linn Co, Jones Co, or Scott Co)  It is not necessary to be related to a member of the American Legion or Auxiliary.  Applicant must attend college in state of Iowa.  Application blanks must be filed out entirely.  Failure to comply will be automatic disqualification.  Two (2) separate $500 general Merit Awards will be awarded.    Deadline: March 15, 2023


American Legion Auxiliary - Unit 528 Cascade, IA - Outdated

Athene Game Changer Scholars Program- outdated
  • Be a U.S. citizen and Iowa resident
  • Be a high school senior or graduate or current college undergraduate
  • Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university located in the state of Iowa for the entire upcoming academic year
  • Have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale or its equivalent
  • Identify as one or more of the following underrepresented minority* students:

AUREON Network Services Scholarship Program-outdated
Scholarship is available for student pursuing a STEM-related course of study and those residing in the trade area of an Iowa Independent Telecommunications Company. The program will award a total of $10,000. Individual scholarships will range from $1,000 to $3,000. Applicant must have a minimum 3.33 GPA and be a high school junior or graduating senior with the 2021-2022 school year. Deadline: March 1, 2024

Better Business Bureau-Student of Integrity 2024-outdated
Applicant must be recommended by school officials.  Only one application per school will be accepted.  Applicant must be a high school senior scheduled to graduate in 2022.  Submissions must be received no later than January 12, 2024. Late and/or incomplete submissions will be rejected.  Winner of the $2500 scholarship will be notified and they hope to have an in-person celebration sometime in June. 


Bodensteiner Implement Company & John Deere FFA Scholarship- outdated
Eligible applicant would need to be undergrad college students who were high school FFA members.  There will be 4-$2,000 scholarships awarded in our area for this coming year.  Scholarships will be awarded in May of 2021. Applications can be done online only beginning November 1, 2021 and need to be submitted by January 11, 2022.
 

Cascade Knights of Columbus
Student must be a son or daughter of an active member of the Cascade Council #930 of the Knights of Columbus.  He or she must also be attending a Catholic university or college next year. Cascade Lions club scholarship is applied to tuition at college of your choice.  Student must answer a few questions in 200 words or less describing the community service projects they have been involved in and how your see the Cascade Lions Club serving the Cascade Community. Catherine McAuley Scholarship
The Catherine McAuley Scholarship at Mount Mercy University offers free tuition to Iowa students whose family income is $45,000 or less annually.  The scholarship helps cover tuition costs(and future tuition increases) and is renewable for all four years at Mount Mercy.  Students who are admitted to Mount Mercy University and meet the income limits automatically qualify for the scholarship for more information, please follow the link:  click here
To be considered for the Catherine McAuley Scholarship, students need to:

NICC's Medical Assistant program runs from August 2021 through July 2022. Children's Cancer Connection Empowering Scholarship-outdated
Applicant must be directly affected by childhood cancer (includes individuals who currently have or have had cancer before age 18, or a sibling of that individual).  Applicant must be within Children's Cancer Connection service area (living, treated or diagnosed in the state of Iowa).  Applicant must attend, or plan to attend, an accredited two- or four-year institution (trade school, college or university).  Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 2.5.  Applications for the Fall 2020 Semester will be due May 29, 2020.  Applications for the Spring 2021 Semester will be due September 25, 2020.

Christina Hixson Opportunity Awards - (Iowa State University)-outdated
This scholarship is available to high school seniors graduating in 2023 who will be entering first-year students at Iowa State University in Fall 2024. This program will provide 100 undergraduates with half-tuition scholarships (estimated value of more than $18,000 over eight semesters). Selection is based on the student's county, eligibility and potential as demonstrated through the application, letter of recommendation, and financial need analysis. Students may major in any curriculum and must maintain a 2.00 cumulative grade point average for renewal.

Clarence Griep Scholarship-outdated

The scholarship shall be awarded to a graduating senior of a Dubuque County high school during the 2021-22 school year with a minimum GPA of 2.75, a demonstrated financial need and activities related to social justice, mutual respect and/or fairness who plans to attend any accredited public or private college, university, or technical school during the 2024-25 school year after graduating from a Dubuque County high school.

 Applicants must intend to become employed in either Dubuque, Jo Daviess, or Grant counties following completion of their education program.   Must be a immediate family member of individuals who are members of unions or who work for employers belonging to the DALMC, corporate sponsors of the program, military that have been honorably discharged.  Also, members of the Tech WORKS program that will complete all the steps of the program by the end of your senior year and students that have completed at least three Project Lead the Way courses.  One letter is required to document conduct and attendance history.   Two letters of recommendation.  Grade point average is not considered ("B" & "C" students are encouraged to apply).

Dubuque & Delaware Counties Coalition Against Domestic Violence-outdated

Award: Up to $10,000 Scholarship
Deadline: Monday, February 26, 2024

Must be a graduating senior and plan to attend college.   Must write an essay (5-10 minutes) on the theme, "Advancing Pro-Life Ideas to Next Generations: Goals & Strategies " and also provide evidence of service hours logged in the cause of protecting human life. Students must also submit one (1) recommendation letter describing individual commitment to some aspect of the DCRTL mission.

Dubuque Soil & Water Conservation District

Dupaco has two different scholarship programs, awarding a total of $40,000 to twenty first-time, full-time incoming students within two different programs:

The Friends of DCCB Environmental Scholarship Fund was established to assist Dubuque County Residents and students who are attending a college or university and have declared a major applicable to environmental studies or a similar field. Grand Lodge of Iowa, A.F. & A.M. - MCEC Technical Scholarship- outdated
This scholarship will be awarded to a number of graduating Iowa High school seniors who plan to enroll in a mechanical or trade course of study at an accredited Iowa Community College.  This scholarship may be used for any bona fide school related expenses such as tuition, fees, books and tools. A masonic connection is preferred , but not required.  Recipients are selected after completing a comprehensive written application. Grand River Medical Group Scholarship-outdated
 
The scholarship’s purpose is to encourage students with an interest in healthcare to pursue a career in healthcare or other related fields of study. Three non-renewable scholarships in the amount of $500.00 each will be awarded to the students deemed most deserving. A check will be issued to the student’s college or university to apply towards tuition, books, or room and board. Entrant applications will be based on merit, not financial need.

Grand River Medical Group Scholarship - Certified Medical Assistant -outdated

This scholarship is a 100% tuition assistance scholarship for the 2022-2023 school year at Northeast Iowa Community College (NICC), in Peosta, IA for their Medical Assistant Program.
Applicants must already be accepted into the NICC Medical Assistant program or on the wait list to apply.

The Healy Family Scholarship/sponsored by Steve, Janet and Martin Healy
2 - $2000 scholarship for incoming freshman at Iowa State University fall 2024
This scholarship expresses the Healy's sincere gratitude of growing up in the Cascade Community.

IBA- Iowa Bankers Association-outdated
The Iowa Bankers Association(IBA) is proud to sponsor a $1,000 Student Athlete Achievement Award Scholarship in wrestling, in conjunction with the Iowa High School Athletic Association and the 2019 state wrestling tournament.  In addition to the $1,000 scholarship, the recipient must be able to travel to Des Moines on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2019, for the recording of the award presentation, which will be aired during the televised broadcast of the Iowa High School State Wrestling Championships on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2019. Nomination deadline: Noon on January 25, 2019.

IAS Innovative Ag Services-outdated
IAS will select six recipients to receive a $1,000 Ag Scholarship.  Parent or guardian must be an active patron of Innovative Ag Services, having purchased production supplies from the cooperative or sold grain to the cooperative within the past year.  Students must be a graduating high school senior who will be majoring in an agricultural related field of study.  Students must attend an accredited college or university.  Applicant must enroll as a full-time student.  Applicant will also go in the pool for the $1,000 Friedman scholarship. IHCA Foundation Scholarship Programs-outdated (open in march)
The IHCA Foundation is now accepting applications for this new scholarship program. 

This $1,000 scholarship is for Iowa high school seniors enrolling in a certified nursing assistant (CNA), licensed practical nurse (LPN), registered nurse (RN) or Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN) program and interested in a career in long-term care. Scholarships are for the 2020-2021 academic year.

Iowa 4-H Foundation Scholarships-outdated

Iowa 4-H members are eligible to apply for 4-H scholarships if they meet individual scholarship requirements (i.e. designated college and/or major program of study, county of residence, 4-H event participation, etc.)  Applicants must enroll as a full-time student (minimum of 12 credit hours) to receive scholarship awards. Only ONE application form is needed for all Iowa 4-H scholarships. Speak Out Against Suicide’s mission is to eliminate the stigma of suicide and depression. Our goal is to increase awareness and create a safe environment in which community members know they are not alone and can feel free to ask for help. Our organization is volunteer based and we are involved in helping the community with various projects.

Stephen J Brady Stop Hunger Scholarships - Outdated
All applicants must be enrolled in an accredited educational institution in the United States. All applicants must be ages 5-25 and meet age requirement by October 5, 2016.  All applicants must have demonstrated on-going commitment to their community by performing unpaid volunteer services impacting hunger in the U.S.  Must be a permanent resident of the U.S. Volunteer services performed for a non-family member.  Deadline for applications to close December 5, 2017

Strayer-Rairden Scholarship in Physics-outdated
Students must be from the state of Iowa and have applied for admission to The University of Iowa and declared physics or astronomy as their major. Scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic merit, not financial need.  As long as scholarship winner maintains a 3.2 grade point average, and remains declared major specified above, the scholarship may be renewed for a total of four years or the completion of a baccalaureate degree, whichever comes first.  Deadline: January 31, 2020


Sue Bausch Memorial Scholarships - Outdated
Must be a Senior at a high school in Dubuque or Delaware Count, Iowa and plan to continue their education at a college, university, community college or trade school in the 2018-19 school year.  Students must complete the general application.  Students must submit a 500 word essay addressing: How has domestic violence impacted your life thus far?  and/or How do you anticipate taking a stand against domestic violence in the future? Students must submit one (1) recommendation letter from a non-family member. Two (2) $1,000 scholarships will be awarded. Deadline to apply: February 1,2019

The Elks National Foundation-Most Valuable Student Scholarship-outdated
The Elks National Foundation awards $2.44 million in college scholarships to a total of 500 high school seniors nationwide through its Most Valuable Student Scholarship.  Must be a high school senior and U.S. Citizen.  Application Deadline: November 15, 2020
 

Thomas H. Macbride Leadership Scholarship-outdated
Awarded to recipients who will attend The University of Iowa, up to $10,000 in total scholarships given away for the next Academic year, deadline to apply is March 31, 2020. Applications available in the Counseling office.  
 

Toptal Scholarships for Women - Outdated
Toptal will award five scholarships to aspiring female leaders in five global regions: Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe, and Oceania. Each winner will receive (US)$10,000 and a year of weekly one-on-one mentoring by a Total expert. Deadline : March 31, 2019

Unity Point Scholar Athlete - Outdated
One senior female student athlete and one senior male student athlete will each be awarded a continuing education grant for up to $2,000.  Applicant must demonstrate academic excellence, participation in athletics and service to their school and community.  Students should download, complete and submit their applications to their High School Principal by May 12, 2017.  High School Principals should then review the applicants and choose ONE FINAL APPLICANT.   Deadline: May 12, 2017

University of Iowa Homegrown Hawkeyes Scholarship-outdated
Homegrown Hawkeyes is a search for athletes who have never rowed but are driven to compete at the highest level of NCAA athletics and excited about the idea of transferring their athletic talents to a new sport at the collegiate level. 


Vander Lugt Scholarship-outdated
 Open to any CHS Senior who will be pursuing post-secondary education at a college, university, community college, trade school or apprenticeship.  Graduating seniors will need to submit an essay along with two letter of recommendations. Wartburg College Alumni Referral Program-Outdated
As a graduate of Wartburg College, you know firsthand the amazing experiences students have as part of the liberal arts education here. With the Alumni Referral Award, you can help high school students take a similar journey of discovery. This award will have your name on it as a testament to the importance of your involvement in the lives of our future alumni. There’s no limit to the number of students you can qualify for an award. You don’t have to wait until they’re seniors, either — refer a freshman to give them lots of time to think about becoming a Knight. The deadline to refer a student graduating from high school in 2020 is Nov. 1, 2019.
