Good Afternoon:

Graduation - We are planning to hold graduation at CHS and WDHS in June. With the current restrictions in place due to COVID-19, we have had to make some changes to the date and time that the ceremony will be held at each school. Here are the plans:

CHS – Graduation will be held in the gym at CHS on Sunday, June 28th, at 1:00 p.m. The students will be spread out on the gym floor to allow for proper social distancing. The number of family members that are able to attend will be limited based on social distancing guidelines from the CDC. More information on the specifics of this ceremony will be communicated by June 15th to the seniors and their families from the high school principal.

WDHS – Graduation will be held outside on the football field at WDHS on Saturday, June 27th, at 10:00 a.m. The rain date for this ceremony is Sunday, June 28th, at 10:00 a.m. The students will be spread out on the football field to allow for proper social distancing. The time change is necessary to minimize the concerns with heat in late June, and to avoid potential conflicts with graduation celebrations that may have already been scheduled. The number of family members that are able to attend will be limited based on social distancing guidelines from the CDC. More information on the specifics of this ceremony will be communicated by June 15th to the seniors and their families from the high school principal.

Both high schools do plan to live stream the ceremony so people who are not able to attend can watch at home. If you have any questions regarding graduation, please contact the high school administration.

Technology Survey – There are currently two technology surveys that we are trying to get completed. The District survey data will be used to determine how best to support student learning in a distance format. The state survey data will be used by the state to determine how best to support broadband access and device access for all students in the state. If you have not completed both of these surveys, please take time to access them on our website and complete them now.

Take care.
