Tip Tuesday
Your children come home late from being with friends, so you send them to their room. Makes sense, right? Maybe not. After all, what's so bad about hanging out in their room for a while? Although simple penalties are OK at times, it's more effective to relate the consequence to the misbehavior. Try: "I was so worried about you when you were late that I didn’t finish my chores. You’ll have to stay in and help me finish them tomorrow."
