Sandy Luna

Hey, Hey, Hey, Cougar Community!

My name is Sandy (Roling) Luna, and I am honored to introduce myself as the new Principal of Cascade Jr/Sr High School for the 2026–2027 school year!

As a proud Cascade alum (Class of '93), this homecoming is deeply personal for me. After graduating, I earned my bachelor's degree at the University of Northern Iowa before moving to San Antonio, Texas, to complete my student teaching. What started as student teaching turned into a 29-year adventure in Texas! During my time there, I taught 3rd grade, 5th grade, and K–5 Gifted and Talented education. Over the past 11 years, I’ve served in school administration after earning a Master’s in Curriculum & Instruction from Houston Baptist University and a Master’s in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas at San Antonio.

My family and I relocated back to Cascade this past June, and we could not be more excited to be "home." My husband, who is also an educator and coach, and our two young adult children are starting their next chapter here alongside me. Cascade is truly a gem of a community, and I am thrilled they get to experience the magic of small-town life just as I did years ago. Above all, I feel deeply blessed to lead the very school that helped shape who I am today.

I strongly believe in creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive learning environment where every student feels supported, successful, and empowered to reach their fullest potential.

I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity to serve our students, staff, and families.

Go Cougars!
