Welcome to Peosta Elementary School!

Peosta Elementary students, families, and community,

My name is Kimberly Reinert, and I began serving as the Principal of Peosta Elementary School and our community in 2024. I am thrilled to return to the very school I began my career in education at as an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher in 2008. Since then, I have also served the Western Dubuque Community School District as a Prekindergarten teacher and mentor and model teacher. From 2019-2022, I had the opportunity to work for Keystone AEA as an Early Childhood Special Education Consultant in Dubuque before returning to the Western Dubuque Community School District as the PK-12 Special Education Teacher Leader.

My family and I are proud members of the Peosta community and dedicated supporters of our district in every way. My husband, Andy, teaches and coaches at Western Dubuque High School and our 4 children attend Peosta Elementary, Drexler Middle School, and Western Dubuque High School.

Peosta Elementary School and our community are exceptional places for students, families, and staff to grow and thrive. We take pride in our district’s vision of "Better Every Day" by fostering an inclusive learning environment and providing meaningful experiences and opportunities for all students. We are committed to continuous growth and developing life-long learners who will become productive citizens in the Western Dubuque communities.

As the Peosta Elementary Principal, I am excited for what the future holds for our students and our school. Our familly and community partnership is invaluable in ensuring our students thrive and succeed. Together, we are creating a nurturing and inspiring environment where every child can reach their full potential.
