Multi-Cultural Gender-Fair Goals: District stakeholders have contributed to our commitment to multi-cultural and gender-fair education. Goals established include:
Encouraging students to demonstrate self-discipline and make decisions that lead to safe, healthy, and productive choices.
Cultivating a curriculum that promotes lifelong learning and respects human diversity, addressing the needs of all students.
Promoting acceptance and appreciation of human diversity, enhancing students' ability to actively participate in an evolving multicultural society.
Equity Coordinator Responsibilities: Our Equity Coordinator oversees:
Knowledge and implementation of Title IX, Section 504, Americans with Disabilities Act, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and relevant state laws.
Establishment and maintenance of board policies and grievance procedures to ensure equity.
Annual dissemination of non-discrimination policies, harassment/bullying/hazing policies, and grievance procedures to all stakeholders.
Training for staff and students on their rights and responsibilities under these laws.
Mediation of conflicts and facilitation of civil rights grievance procedures to ensure prompt and effective resolution.
