We have kicked off field trip season for Farley Elementary students. Each of our field trips is made possible by our PTO. We appreciate their support in providing these learning opportunities for our students outside of the classroom:
1st grade visited Prairie Farms, 911 Call Center & Miracle Park
4th grade toured the caves at Maquoketa Caves
5th grade navigated the courses at Four Mounds
Today we had a guest author, Dani R-G, visit Farley Elementary. She is the author of the book, "Please." This is a story about a young girl and learning about the power of using please. "Not only does it make others feel good, it will give you an inner glow. Say it all day, all the time and then see how you feel." It was great to meet an author of a children's book and hear about the power of please!
This week we recognize our FES teachers for Teacher Appreciation Week. Thank you for serving, leading and educating our future!
Farley Elementary students participated in Bobcat Service Day. They participated in service projects helping our school, community and organizations around beyond our community. We collaborated with Western Dubuque High School students, the FFA, and Drexler Middle School on several projects. Service Day is a great way to give back to the many who support our schools!

What a great night of performances at our Spring Concert from our preschool through 5th grade! So proud of our students! Thanks to Mrs. Goebel for all of her hard work preparing students for tonight! Way to go FES!

Join us tonight for our Pk-5th grade Spring Music Concert at Western Dubuque High School Auditorium.

Tomorrow morning is our April Birthday breakfast! Students who celebrate a birthday this month are invited to bring a guest for breakfast starting at 7:45.

In preschool students are working on their counting. They rolled a number and counted that many hops on their ladybug number line.

Thank you to all of our paraprofessionals today and every day they serve at Farley Elementary! We are incredibly appreciative of all they do!

The Western Dubuque Lions Club and West Dubuque FFA are teaming up to support the Bobcat Den at WDHS, helping provide food for students and families in need.
Join us on April 11 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Silkers as we collect non perishable food items.
Most needed items include canned vegetables, beans and soup, rice, pasta, cereal, peanut butter, snacks, microwaveable meals, and cash donations.
When we come together, we take care of our own.

We had a great turn out for the PTO bunny hop. Kids walked the hallways collecting tickets and then prizes were drawn. Thanks to the PTO, the many sponsors and all our families who came out to support the event.

Tomorrow morning, Wednesday, March 25th, we will celebrate our March birthdays. Birthday breakfast is from 7:45-8:05 a.m.

We had our own March Madness fun this week for filling our school wide puff jar. Each class competed in the dodgeball tournament. Students earn positive puffs for following the Bobcat Way of doing their best, being leaders along with showing safe and kind behavior.

Today the Dubuque Arts Council brought a performance by OPERA Iowa to Farley Elementary! The students enjoyed the performance of The Billy Goats Gruff.

We still have several items in our lost and found! Does any of it look familiar? Please have your student stop by the table in the gym to claim!
