January Birthday Breakfast is tomorrow from 7:45-8:10 a.m. All students with a birthday in January are invited to bring one guest to join them for breakfast.

We are piloting new technology in a 2nd grade classroom. Today they played a math game of teacher verse student on the new SMART board.


We welcome two new faces to Farley Elementary. Ms. Ulbrich and Ms. Zuercher are student teaching in kindergarten and third grade.

We filled FES with cheer this past week leading us into break! We had winter rotations with our Bobcat families, holiday sing along featuring our 5th grade band a few student performers and hot cocoa party! Happy Holidays!










Tomorrow kicks off our holiday dress up week!

Join us tonight for the PTO movie night. Remember to bring a water bottle and blankets/chair. All students must be accompanied by an adult.

The Bobcat Community Christmas Dinner is on Wednesday, December 17th from 5-7 p.m. All Western Dubuque Community members are welcome to join!

We had snow much fun today at recess! Students enjoyed sledding, building forts and assembling snowmen!







This month at our Bobcat Way assembly, support staff recognized students for being leaders.





Mrs. Goebel and our 3rd grade students recorded a holiday song that will be played on the radio multiple times throughout the month of December.

Students engaging in workplaces with classmates serves as an opportunity for them to build their math skills and fact fluency.



Los Llaneros, a musical group from Latin America shared the elements of Colombia and Venezuela's diverse musical cultures. The four piece band shared about the history, land, and animals of the llanos, or savannas, of these two countries. This performance was mad possible by the Dubuque Arts Council.
Today we honored our local Veterans at our assembly. Thank you for your service.









Our school board along with other district administrators visited FES this morning. They listened to some our staff and 5th grade students share about our daily morning meeting routines and the difference it is making in relationship building. They also heard about the other opportunities we have for students to develop connections around the building.




We held our monthly assembly today recognizing students for "doing their best."
