Amy Ostwinkle

The Western Dubuque County Community School District is pleased to announce that, pending official board approval, Amy Ostwinkle has been selected as the next Activities Director at Western Dubuque High School.

Ostwinkle brings more than 20 years of experience within the district, having served as a teacher, coach, and advisor. Throughout her career, she has played a significant role in shaping the culture and pride that define Western Dubuque today. Her deep understanding of the district, its students, and its community positions her well to lead the activities program moving forward.

Over the years, Ostwinkle has demonstrated strong leadership and organizational skills across a variety of roles. She has led student council efforts, organized large scale school events, and built a successful girls basketball program during her time as head coach. Her work reflects a consistent commitment to helping students grow both in and out of the classroom.

Ostwinkle believes that activities are an essential part of the student experience. Her approach centers on creating opportunities that foster connection, leadership, and personal growth. She is committed to ensuring that all students have access to meaningful experiences that leave a lasting impact.

As a relationship focused leader, Ostwinkle will continue to build on the strong foundation already in place while working to elevate programs across Western Dubuque High School. Her leadership will prioritize students, support staff, and strengthen connections with families and the broader community.
