Western Dubuque Schools is proud to celebrate an outstanding achievement as three of our athletic programs have earned their place among Iowa's best. Western Dubuque High School Baseball, Western Dubuque High School Softball, and Cascade High School Baseball have each qualified for their respective state tournaments, representing the commitment, preparation, and perseverance that define our students and coaches.
These teams have embraced challenges, continued to grow, and earned the opportunity to compete on Iowa's biggest stage.
The Western Dubuque High School Softball team will begin its state tournament journey against Winterset in the opening round at Channel Seeds Field at the Harlan Rogers Sports Complex in Fort Dodge on Monday, July 20 at 12:45. The full bracket for Class 4A can be found here.
Western Dubuque High School Baseball returns to the state tournament and will face North Polk in the Class 3A State Quarterfinals at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Cedar Rapids on Monday, July 20, at 1:30 PM. The Bobcats have continued to build upon a season defined by hard work and team success as they pursue another memorable postseason run. Cascade High School Baseball has once again punched its ticket to the state tournament and will travel to Carroll for the Class 2A State Quarterfinals against Beckman. The Cougars have put together an impressive season and earned the opportunity to compete for a state championship through their dedication and commitment to one another. The Class 2A bracket is here.
