Our At-Risk Coordinator works with students, families, and other agencies to prevent truancy, drop outs, at-risk behaviors, criminal activities, and tardiness.
When school personnel, area agencies, parents or students make referrals, we work collaboratively to assist the student as a team and provide consistent guidance to resolve problems which may be preventing school success.
Our At-Risk Coordinator is an important link between the schools and community agencies, which provide services necessary to resolve problems that can inhibit a student's school success. Students attending classes at any school in the Western Dubuque district are eligible for At-Risk services.
Through a variety of interventions, our At-Risk Coordinator can provide information and guidance to those students and their families who need assistance to experience greater success in the educational setting. In some cases, outside service providers will be accessed to assist the students/families. There are many service providers available to residents of the Western Dubuque school district and the At-Risk Coordinator can assist in accessing the appropriate service provider when needed.
