Before most of us are awake, our Western Dubuque bus drivers are already on the road. Long after the school day ends, they’re still making sure every student gets home safely. 🚌

Covering 555 square miles, managing more than 32 routes, and transporting thousands of students each day requires incredible dedication. We are grateful for their professionalism, care, and commitment to keeping our district moving!

Today is National School Backpack Awareness Day! It’s an opportunity to remind students and families about important safety precautions:

✅ Keep backpack weight to 10-15% of body weight
✅ Use both shoulder straps for even distribution
✅ Adjust straps so pack sits close to your back
✅ Place heavier items closest to your spine

Remember: Proper backpack habits help prevent injury and keep students comfortable all year long! 🎒
