It's National School Bus Safety Week! Our incredible transportation team hauls our most precious cargo across 555 square miles daily in #wdbqschools. We rely on the dedication of 40 drivers, 15 substitutes, 3 mechanics, 1 director, 1 assistant director, and 1 transportation secretary to safely operate 31 morning routes and 34 afternoon routes, covering 1,931.5 miles every day.
With 2,356 students transported daily, we couldn't be more grateful for their steadfast commitment to safety and excellence. Let's take a moment to thank them for their hard work and remind ourselves to prioritize bus safety every day!

It's National School Lunch Week, and we want to give a huge shoutout to our amazing WDCCSD kitchen staff! With 40 dedicated workers, including 3 managers and 1 district director, they serve approximately 2,800 lunches and 600 breakfasts every day across our 8 schools. Our annual CES PTO Trunk or Treat is scheduled for Monday, October 28, 2024 from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. This is a free event and open to anyone in the community. Please mark your calendars find our Facebook post and share it out.
At this time, we are seeking people to sign up for having a trunk at the event. Last year we closed down Harrison St. for more cars and it was a great success. We would like to do that again, so long as we have enough trunks participating.
