Thirteen 5th-8th grade students from DMIS participated in the Eastern Region Technology Fair sponsored by the Iowa Technology and Education Connection. This event was hosted at the Kirkwood Center in Coralville on May 2, 2017.
Students created a variety of technology projects that were presented to two a set of judges and were awarded a blue or red ribbon for their efforts. A blue ribbon was awarded to projects that were polished and complete, a red ribbon was awarded to projects that the judges felt had a great start but needed a little more work. Three DMIS groups received blue ribbons and four groups received red ribbons.
Schuyler Ridenour received a special Purple Ribbon award for his exemplary project and has been invited to share his work at the ITEC Conference in Des Moines in the fall. Congratulations to all of our students for their hard work and success!
