Third graders at Cascade Elementary are bringing energy and focus to their learning through desk drumming! 🥁

This activity helps elevate heart rates and promote healthy blood circulation while also alleviating tension, anxiety, and stress. Desk drumming activates both sides of the brain, supporting concentration and cognitive development in a fun, active way.

We love seeing creative strategies that support student learning and wellbeing throughout the school day. 💙

Students invited parents, grandparents, neighbors, and special friends to experience a morning at school alongside them.

A record-breaking 800 donuts were served, but even more meaningful were the countless conversations and memories made. This is what community looks like, and we are grateful for the strong partnerships that support our students each day.

We’re better together! 💛

Our 5th grade students at Epworth Elementary have been putting their gratitude into words by writing letters to local veterans. 🇺🇸

These heartfelt messages will be shared with veterans participating in Honor Flights, which take Eastern Iowa veterans to Washington, D.C., to visit the national monuments dedicated to their service.

We are proud of our students for taking the time to honor and thank those who have served our country.
