"Congratulations to our April Teacher of The Month, Larissa Miles!
Larissa teaches grades 5-6 Band at Drexler Middle School. She has been described as an exceptional teacher who teaches what she loves. Even though she teaches roughly 70 students each day, she does not fail to shew genuine attention and enthusiasm for each of them. Whether it's a daily lesson or a concert performance, she always celebrates her students. Her nominator states "You will never catch her with anything but beaming pride on her face when she watches her kids perform. It's obvious they light up her life as much as she lights up theirs." Last Tuesday our Leadership Class students headed to Cobra Lanes in Farley with our Pathways and Essentials Science/Social Studies students for a fun afternoon of bowling!https://core-docs.s3.amazonaws.com/western_dubuque_schools_ar/live_feed_image/image/25759447/large_processed-BDD1FC33-F3F5-4658-9EC4-085D1736FF32.jpeg
This experience was more than just a great time—it was a meaningful opportunity for students to build connections, strengthen social skills, and engage in a collaborative, inclusive environment outside of the classroom, and have so much fun together!
We loved hearing about all the strikes, spares, and smiles! 😊 #drexlerms #wdbqschools
