Since it's the last week until winter break, we have dress up days! Today's dress up day is "white out"! Today's winners are (left to right) Elsie Ostwinkle, Quinten Begle, & Leo Portzen. All winners get put into a raffle for bigger prizes on Monday. Almost all of the students & staff dressed in white today, it is so amazing seeing everyone participate in these fun activities! Owen Paisley, Simon Bingham, Ben Skinner, Faith Boyle attended the Northeast Iowa Band association honor band, or NEIBA Honor Band on Saturday December 6th in Oelwein Iowa. They played great and they all did a wonderful job of representing Drexler Middle School ! #drexlerms #wdbqschools

This time of year there’s no better way to start the day than with a little holiday spirit! Our amazing band & their instructors have been filling the halls each morning with festive Christmas songs, bringing smiles to students and staff alike!
A huge shoutout to our talented musicians for sharing their hard work , talent and holiday cheer with all of us! We love it and appreciate the great way to start off each day ! 🎺✨

We are pleased to introduce Jami Kruse, who will be stepping into the position in 7th grade science and Leadership class. Jamie will officially start when we return from Christmas break. Jami will be joining us in our building next week to observe, get to know the kids and staff and how we function as a building and science department. We will begin planning our Summer 2026 Freshman and JV softball schedules in January. To determine how many games to schedule and how many teams we will have, we need an idea of how many girls plan to go out for High School Softball.
If your child intends to participate, please log into Bound and register them on the 2025–2026 WDHS softball roster before Christmas break (https://www.gobound.com/ia/schools/epworth). I will begin sending emails about open gyms before the end of the year, so please be sure your email address is correct in Bound.
