Our students had an absolute blast playing in the snow today! ❄️☃️ From sleigh riding down the hill 🛷💨 to building epic snow forts 🧱❄️, they enjoyed every moment of this winter wonderland. Their laughter, teamwork, and pure joy made the day extra special! 🤗✨
We love seeing them create memories like these! ❤️

Winter weather has arrived! Don't forget to send your child's snow gear, hats, gloves, and boots to school. Students will go outside for recess unless the temperature does not allow it.

❤️🖤🤍 Huge thank you to Cole Burger with Victory For for surprising our entire staff with a special treat from Brew and Brew! ☕️🎉
In a small community like ours, every act of kindness feels extra meaningful — and today we truly felt the love. ❤️🖤🤍
As we head into Thanksgiving, we are especially grateful for this thoughtful gesture and the support that lifts up our staff and reminds us why our community is so special. 🍁🦃
Thank you, Cole, for making our day! 🌟

Dyersville Elementary was thrilled to welcome Quentin Nauman as our guest lunch server today! 🍎🤩
Quentin is more than just an incredible runner—he’s a living example of grit, perseverance, and positivity. 🏃♂️💨 His dedication to pushing through challenges and always giving his best makes him a powerful role model for our students.
Whether he’s tackling tough miles, cheering on young athletes, or jumping in to serve lunch with a smile, Quentin shows what it means to work hard, stay humble, and lift others up along the way. 🌟🙌
We are so grateful for his energy, kindness, and the inspiration he brings to our school community. Thank you, Quentin! 💛📚👏

🌟 Social Skills in Action! 🌟
Twice each month, our students get a special visit from Mrs. Pederson, who brings social-emotional learning to life in our classrooms. Her lessons build on our Second Step program, giving students extra support in developing important skills like empathy, problem-solving, self-management, and positive communication.
Through interactive activities, thoughtful discussions, and plenty of hands-on practice, Mrs. Pederson helps students learn what it means to work together, understand others, and navigate everyday challenges with confidence.
The best part? Students absolutely LOVE their time with Mrs. Pederson! Her warm approach and fun teaching style make every lesson something they look forward to.
We’re so grateful for the meaningful impact she makes in our school community! 💛📘✨

“🏹🎯 Our 3rd graders are working hard to master the art of archery in PE class! With 11 key skills to perfect, they’re learning everything from stance and grip to aim and release, and they’re already showing incredible progress! 💥 It’s so awesome to see their focus and determination as they practice for that perfect shot. 🤩💪 Keep it up, future archers! 🎯👏 #wdbqschools

Today we proudly honored our Veterans! ❤️🤍💙
Our students did a beautiful job singing patriotic songs and showing their appreciation for the men and women who have served our country. 🎶👏
A huge thank you to the American Legion Post 137 for joining us and helping make our program so meaningful. 🙏 Commander Mike Mullis shared his experience in the Air Force and reminded us that while we can never fully repay the debt owed to our veterans, we can honor them every day through our care, gratitude, and service. 💬✨
We also want to congratulate our three 5th grade students — Jaxson, Josh, and Nova — who were recognized for their Flag Essays about what the flag means to them.📝🎉
Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating our heroes today! 💖

Dr. Butler joined the elementary administrators for walk-throughs at Dyersville Elementary today! 🏫 He was excited to see a few familiar faces — students who were in TK at Epworth when he served as principal. 😊📚 What a full-circle moment! 💙

🥍😃 Lots of smiles, a little competitiveness, and tons of fun!
Mr. Lawler introduced our 2nd graders to the exciting game of Lacrosse. Students learned the basics of the sport—how to handle the stick, pass, and work together as a team. 🤝⚡
Lacrosse not only builds coordination and teamwork, but it also encourages sportsmanship, perseverance, and trying something new. 💪🌟 Our students were all in—cheering each other on, moving with energy, and discovering a new way to stay active! 🏃♂️🏃♀️
Way to go, 2nd graders, and thank you Mr. Lawler for bringing so much enthusiasm to PE! 🙌💙
