📱 **Think Before You Share**
Yesterday, our 6th graders participated in an important presentation led by members of the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office focused on child exploitation, inappropriate image sharing, and staying safe online.
Students learned about real trends in our area, the risks of sharing images, the use of AI to create fake or altered images, and the potential consequences of these choices.
These are serious conversations, but they are important ones. We encourage families to continue talking with their students about making safe, responsible choices online. ❤️
Thank you to the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office for helping educate and protect our students! #drexlerms #wdbqschools

A key component in a healthy environment is decomposers. We have started compost bins using red wiggler worms. The worms will eat and break down the fruits and veggies that we've added to the bins. Whatever the worms don't absorb as nutrients is released as castings (worm poop). The castings make great fertilizer for plants. The students in the Pathways Program found this all to be very interesting! #drexlerms #wdbqschools
DMS Parent Teacher Conferences are this Wednesday, September 23rd from 4pm-8pm
Today's XC Meet at Solon has been cancelled. There will still be regular practice after school! #drexlerms #wdbqschools
Food Service Appreciation Week!
We are grateful to the people that make meals great every day! In the Western Dubuque School District, we are lucky to have the food that we get each day for breakfast and lunch. We want to thank our lunch ladies for making our days always better in the lunchroom and lunch line. Their jokes, fun and laughter help us take a break during the school day and eat and talk with our friends. Thank you for making the best part of our day even better! We thank you for everything! #drexlerms #wdbqschools (written by Journalism students: Alex, James, Sebastian, and Maddox)

Some of the clubs we have are Calligraphy, Kindness Club, Jokes, Board games, Photography, Diamond Art, Pickem Sports, and reading. There are many more fun clubs as well. These are pictures for some of the clubs the Photography Club got pictures of today. #drexlerms #wdbqschools
