Computer Turn In Day is NEXT Thursday, May 21st! Your student will need to turn in their computer, computer bag, their charger, and their student ID/bus card. Current 6th and 7th graders will keep their bus card in their bag over the summer and current 8th graders will not turn their card in so they can keep it for when they go to the high school in the fall. #drexlerms #wdbqschools

We had a fun assembly this past Friday to celebrate all of the growth this year on ISASP testing at DMS! 🎉🥧
Any student who showed growth on the ISASP assessments in ELA, Math, and Science had their names entered into a drawing. Three names were selected from each grade level — 6th, 7th, and 8th grade — and those students earned the chance to pie a staff member in the face! 😄
To add even more fun to the celebration, a few of our leadership students also volunteered to get pied! Thank you to everyone who participated and congratulations to all of our students for their hard work and growth this year! 👏🐾

On Thursday, we welcomed our future Bobcats to Drexler Middle School! 🐾
It was great having the 5th graders from the elementaries visit DMS for a tour, meet staff and students, and get a glimpse of what middle school life is all about. We loved seeing their excitement, curiosity, and smiles throughout the day!

Mrs. Bahl has been incubating chicken eggs in her science room for the past 3 weeks and some of them hatched on April 28! She does this every year and at the end of the year she lets some of her students take the chick's home. The chicks are different breeds there are Rhode Island Red, Olive Eggers, Barred Rock, and Black Sex Link. The chicken eggs hatch on different days. It’s fun to watch them hatch and grow. Last week, our Leadership students and Pathways students had a great time out on a fishing trip! 🎣
It was an awesome opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, build connections, and try something new. There were plenty of smiles, a few great catches, lots of hot dogs and s'mores roasted, and lots of memories made!

Mr. Kedley, Mr. Hatcher, Mr. Wernimont, & Mrs. Goldsmith stepped in to give our hardworking kitchen staff a well-deserved break by serving lunches to students. It was a small way to show our appreciation for everything our kitchen crew does each and every day to support our students.

A Math Olympiads competition was held at Drexler Middle School last Friday, May 1, 2026, in the Drexler new gym. Participants included 113 students from 5th and 6th grade from our district elementaries and middle schools. Students participated in two individual competitions and two team competitions, as well as Math Olympiads contests throughout the year. Many awards were given to celebrate student success.
