Western Dubuque High School

Enrollment (approximate): 950 Students
Western Dubuque High School is a comprehensive four-year public high school located in Epworth, Iowa. The school was built in 1962 and its first class graduated in 1963. The school's enrollment is approximately 800 students. Of those enrolled, 98% graduate.
- Post high school placement stats are as follows: 50% Four-year college, 25% Community college/technical school, 25% Workforce, military, or other.
- Special Programs include: Gifted and Talented, Special Needs, Consortium Classes (in cooperation with NICC), Project Lead the Way, Alternative School on campus, School to Work Program and Excel (At-Risk)We also offer before & after school study programs.
- The Western Dubuque High School Library/Media center is a 4,500 square foot facility with 12,000 volumes, subscriptions to ninety periodicals, and Internet access. The catalog and circulation system are completely automated.
- Western Dubuque High School is a 1:1 school.
- College credit courses are available in English, computer science, math, health and engineering. All credit is through NICC. Some credit is transferable to other colleges as well.
- Western Dubuque High School runs on a trimester schedule. Students meet six period each trimester.
