Mrs. Jill Doyle

Teacher Librarian

CES, DES, EES, FES, & PES

[email protected]

I have been a teacher librarian in the Western Dubuque CSD since 2019.  Rotating to five elementary schools each week keeps me very busy. I love helping students find great books, reading to our students, and collaborating with teachers especially during research projects.  I also served as the CHS library para and a children's librarian at my local county library for over 19 years. I attended EES, FES, and graduated from WDHS, Clarke University, and UNI.
My husband, Paul and I live in Farley. We have two college age daughters, Katie and Jenny. We have three cats, plus some rabbits and chickens. In my free time, I enjoy reading or listening to books on MackinVia, gardening, going for walks, baking, and spending time with my family and friends.

I am a CHS graduate and lifelong Cascade resident. I started working at Cascade Elementary as the library paraprofessional in the fall of 1999. My children are all CES and CHS graduates and now my grandchildren are attending CES. My husband and I live on a farm in rural Cascade. I love all sorts of crafts, sewing, reading, and gardening.

Hello! My name is Mrs. G. I have been with the WD district since 2013, starting at Drexler Middle School. I am currently the library paraprofessional at Epworth Elementary School. I started here in the fall of 2019. My job brings me so much joy! I enjoy sharing my love for reading with the students and helping them discover their own passion for it as well.
In my spare time, my husband and golden retriever, Daisy Mae, and I enjoy traveling to national parks, hiking and spending time with family.

I joined the Western Dubuque School District as a paraprofessional in 2013.   As the library paraprofessional at Farley Elementary (beginning in the fall of 2021), I enjoy sharing my passion of reading children's books and promoting a growth mindset.  I am a Western Dubuque graduate so "Once A Bobcat, Always A Bobcat" holds true for me.
My husband and I have three children, Tirzah, Quinton, and Vanessa, also Western Dubuque graduates.  During my free time I like spending time with my family and friends, gardening, baking, shopping, and enjoying nature.

Mrs. Jenny Simon

PES Library Paraprofessional

I have been working in the Western Dubuque School District since 2009, beginning at FES & DMIS. I joined the Peosta Elementary family in 2014 as the library paraprofessional. I also substitute teach in the classrooms at Peosta Elementary. I love my job working in the library because I get to know all of the students. I enjoy helping the students find a good book and seeing the excitement in their eyes when they get new library books each week.
I graduated from WDHS & Clarke University.
I live in Farley with my husband, Jeff and three daughters, Madison, Morgan, and Macy, Soon all three will be UNI Panthers. I have three black and white tuxedo cats who we adore. In my free time, I enjoy being outside doing yardwork or catching some sun, spending time with my family, going for walks, cheering on the UNI Panthers and Iowa Hawkeyes, and of course, reading.

Ms. Kristin Reuter
Teacher Librarian

CHS, DMIS, WDHS
[email protected]

I have been a teacher librarian in the Western Dubuque Community School District since 2015. I currently serve Cascade Jr./Sr. High School, Drexler Middle School, and Epworth High School. After graduating from Loras College with a degree in English and Secondary Education, I pursued a graduate degree in School Library Science from the University of Northern Iowa. As to why I chose this profession, I wanted to share my love of reading with others and encourage students to be their authentic self, idiosyncrasies and all.
Outside of work, I love working out, hiking, spending time with family and friends, and discovering everything I can possibly know about astrology.

Mrs. Alise Rea

CHS Library Paraprofessional

I am very fortunate to work as the library paraprofessional at Cascade Junior/Senior High School since 2019.  As a CJSHS alum, the library is very familiar to me and I have very fond memories roaming the halls as a student.  Prior to working at CJSHS, I graduated from the University of Iowa and worked as an analytics analyst at ChangeHealthcare for almost nine years.  In that time, I married my husband, Calvin, and we welcomed four little ones: Oliver, Chyles, Ireland and Herbie.  In my free time, I love to spend time with my family, read and attend my kids' sporting and dance events.  I enjoy working in the library at CJSHS and am very proud to be a cougar!

Mrs. Melissa Fortman

DMIS Library Paraprofessional

I moved to Iowa and joined the Drexler Bobcat family in 2005.  Prior to that, I attended Western Illinois University for a degree in elementary education with my middle school endorsement.  I moved to Iowa, got married and now have 2 boys and a dog who are little “Bobcats.”
I like to read, garden, spend time with family, and cook. I love to be able to form relationships with the students through books. It is so rewarding when I have a student tell me they loved a book and want my help to read more. I love being a part of the students' lives and it makes me happy working at a job that is near and dear to my heart.

Mrs. Corinne Winters

WDHS Library Paraprofessional

I have been at Western Dubuque High School as the library paraprofessional since 2017.  The library is the best place to work because not only do you get to have wonderful, good smelling books all around you all day, you get to work with ALL of the students and staff!
My husband and I have 3 girls, 2 boys, a dog, and a cat. I love my job, spending time with my family, especially my granddaughter, being involved in my church service, quilting, all crafting, camping and gardening.
