Friday, October 20th, “B” day.

What's for lunch today-The Cougar Kitchen would like to congratulate the amazing Lady Runners of our Cross Country Teams who qualified for a state berth! Way to go, we are proud to feed you all every day! Best wishes tonight to the Cougar Football Teams. Sue will be at the north gate. If you are wearing ALL WHITE she will have a special treat for you!! In the mean time, what’s for lunch today? Rolled Chicken Tacos, Quasadillas, Taco Pizza, Ham Subs, Corn, Refried Beans, fruit, veggies and Fresh Strawberry Parfaits!

Congratulations to Gannon O’Brien who was selected as a school winner and also was a state finalist for the Wendy’s High School Heisman Award.

At the State qualifying CC meet yesterday, the girls’ Varsity finished 2nd, qualifying for the State meet in Ft Dodge. Individually, Madeline Rhomberg finished 3rd, Madison Kelchen 5th, Emma Ostwinkle 9th, Marie Knepper 19th, Rachel Rhomberg 30th, Shannon Morris 45th, and Skylar Dolphin 69th. Madeline Rhomberg, Madison Kelchen and Emma Ostwinkle also qualified as individuals for the State meet. The boys’ team finished 7th, their highest finish this year. Individually, Will Potter finished 25th, Nolan Noonan 26th, Aiden Noonan 35th, Carson Nauman 52nd, Dane Bertling 69th, Sam Noonan 73rd, and Jonah Manternach 87th.

Attention Sophomores! NICC is hosting a Career Pathway day on Wednesday, Oct. 25th from 10am-2pm. You will gain information on your top 3 selections from the following career fields: Automotive Technology, Business and Marketing, Carpentry, CNC Machinist, Computer Analyst, Cosmetology, Dental Assisting, Diesel Mechanics, Early Childhood, EMT services, Engineering Technology, Gas Utility Construction, Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Cooling (HVAC), Medical Assisting, Nursing, Radiology, Respiratory Care, and Welding. If you are interested, you are encouraged to sign up in the Counseling Office by today. Cascade can only take 15 students, so make sure you don’t delay on signing up!
