Today is Monday, October 22 “A” day. 

What’s for Lunch in the Cougar Kitchen? Chicken & Gravy, Buttered Noodles w/ whole grain roll, sweet green peas and applesauce

The Peosta Career Pathway Day is tomorrow. Students attending need to meet in the Counseling Office at 9:25am.

Cougar Career Time will be on Wednesday in the auditorium during Cougar Time. All 7th and 8th grade students are required to attend and high school students are welcome to join. Officer Heim will be our guest presenter. .

Please support the girls volleyball team tonight against Bellevue. Wear your best costume, because it's a costume out!

If you haven't received your student council shirt, you can pick it up from Miss M.

Cheerleading uniforms need to be CLEANED and turned in by Wednesday.

The next game club meeting will be on Wednesday after school.

Cascade Heart & Soul is having a “Celebration of what we have done so far & show you were we are headed” event on Thursday, October 25 5:30 PM- 7:30 PM at KC Hall in here in Cascade. This free event will include food, drinks, Halloween Costume contest and Activities for the kids. 

Registrations is now open for the following Fall Exploring Programs: Conservation & Wildlife Management, Diesel Mechanics and Nursing. The Cost is $40. For more information, please see Steph or Kelli.

The Dance Team is selling holiday wreaths for the 20th year!  Wreaths will be delivered Thanksgiving week and will be even more beautiful than in years past.  If you would like to see the brochure, please check with Natalie Recker, the Dance Team Senior Manager, she will hook you up with your festive door, window or mailbox traditional holiday decoration!

Save the date: Kirkwood Jones Regional is hosting a parent night on “How to Counsel Your Student Towards College and Career.” Topics include 2yr vs 4 yr, affording college, career pathways and more. The event will be Oct 30th, 6-7:30pm in Monticello.  Any questions call Lisa Folken at 319-465-2305.

The Cascade Elementary PTO is looking for some students looking to earn Confirmation or Silver Cord hours to help at their Trunk or Treat on Monday, October 29 from 5:30 - 7:00.  If you can help out, please see Mrs. Recker!  

High School girls and boys bowling sign-up sheets are in the office.

JH & High School Wrestling sign-up is in the office.

Any 7th or 8th grade students interested in joining 4H, flyers are in the office.

Seniors, please start submitting your senior photos to Mrs. Barnes for the yearbook. We would like a traditional head and shoulder shot. You can email pictures to katie.barnes@wdbqschools.org or bring them in on a flash drive. Senior pictures are due by December 14th. If you need someone to take your photo, please see Mrs. Barnes in room 217 to make arrangements.

Our annual fall Blood Drive will take place on Thursday, October 25. Please plan to volunteer to help out.  You can sign up through the link that Mrs. Kolpin sent out via REMIND text, or you can talk to Mrs. Kolpin or Mr. Skattum if you have any questions.

If you would like to donate at the Blood Drive on October 25, you must sign up in advance.  There will be NO student walk-ins on the day of the drive.  Talk to Mr. Skattum to sign up. You must be 16 (with parent permission) to donate blood.

Seniors-- The free FAFSA filing night at the University of Dubuque is tonight from 4:30-6:30pm. No appointment necessary.

Senior Night is tomorrow at the football game for football, cross country, band, color guard, cheerleading and managers. Please make sure your parents are aware that seniors will be honored at the football game at approximately 6:20.
