American Legion Merit Awards Application
Must be a graduating high school senior who resides in the American Legion Second District of Iowa (Clinton Co, Dubuque Co, Jackson Co, Linn Co, Jones Co, or Scott Co)  It is not necessary to be related to a member of the American Legion or Auxiliary.  Applicant must attend college in state of Iowa.  Application blanks must be filed out entirely.  Failure to comply will be automatic disqualification.  Two (2) separate $500 general Merit Awards will be awarded.    Deadline: March 31, 2020

AUREON Network Services Scholarship Program
Scholarship is available for student pursuing a STEM-related course of study and those residing in the trade area of an Iowa Independent Telecommunications Company. Applicant must have a minimum 3.33 GPA and be a high school junior or graduating senior with the 2019-2020 school year. Deadline: March 1, 2020

AXA Achievement Scholarship-outdated
Student must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident living or claiming residency in one of the 50 united states, Washington, D.C. or Puerto Rico.  Be a current high school senior who plans to enroll full-time in an accredited two-year or four year college or university in the United States for the entire 2017-2018 academic year.  Demonstrate ambition and self-drive as evidenced  by outstanding achievement in school, community or work related activities.  Because reducing risk is woven into the fabric of our company, special consideration is given to achievements that empower society to mitigate risk through education/or action in areas such as financial, environmental, health, safety and or emergency preparedness.  Deadline: December 15, 2019

Better Business Bureau-Student of Integrity 2020-outdated
Applicant must be recommended by school officials.  Only one application per school will be accepted.  Applicant must be a high school senior scheduled to graduate in 2020.  Submissions must be received no later than January 13, 2020 by midnight.  Late and/or incomplete submissions will be rejected.  Winner of the $2500 scholarship will be notified in late February.

Bodensteiner Implement Company & John Deere FFA Scholarship-outdated
Eligible applicant would need to ba undergrad college students who were high school FFA members.  There will be 4-$2,000 scholarships awarded in our area for this coming year.  Scholarships will be awarded in May of 2019. Applications can be done online only beginning November 1, 2019 and need to be submitted by January 15, 2020.
Cascade Knights of Columbus-outdated 
Student must be a son or daughter of an active member of the Cascade Council #930 of the Knights of Columbus.  He or she must also be attending a Catholic university or college next year. Student must write a 250-500 word essay about what you feel is the importance of a Catholic education.  Deadline: May 3rd, 2019

Cascade Lions club scholarship is applied to tuition at college of your choice.  Student must answer a few questions in 200 words or less describing the community service projects they have been involved in and how your see the Cascade Lions Club serving the Cascade Community. Catherine McAuley Scholarship
The Catherine McAuley Scholarship at Mount Mercy University offers free tuition to Iowa students whose family income is $45,000 or less annually.  The scholarship helps cover tuition costs(and future tuition increases) and is renewable for all four years at Mount Mercy.  Students who are admitted to Mount Mercy University and meet the income limits automatically qualify for the scholarship for more information, please follow the link:  click here
To be considered for the Catherine McAuley Scholarship, students need to:
1.   Apply to Mount Mercy at apply here (click “Apply as a Freshman”).  There is no application fee.
2.   File the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) at 
Children's Cancer Connection Empowering Scholarship
Applicant must be directly affected by childhood cancer (includes individuals who currently have or have had cancer before age 18, or a sibling of that individual).  Applicant must be within Children's Cancer Connection service area (living, treated or diagnosed in the state of Iowa).  Applicant must attend, or plan to attend, an accredited two- or four-year institution (trade school, college or university).  Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 2.5.  Applications for the Fall 2019 Semester will be due May 31, 2019.  Applications for the Spring 2020 Semester will be due September 27, 2019.

Christina Hixson Opportunity Awards - (Iowa State University) -outdated
The Hixson Opportunity Award is a half-tuition scholarship, estimated at more than $16,000 over the course of eight semesters.  This is for students with extreme financial need, which must be reflected in their FAFSA.   Deadline December 15, 2019

Darryl Jahn Memorial Scholarship
Scholarship is for Lutheran gentlemen entering Iowa State University in the fall of 2019. Applicants will be evaluated on their scholastic achievement and active participation in their communities and churches. The Alumni chapter is providing three $2,000 scholarships.  Deadline: Applications posted after January 11th but before March 30th, 2020 will be eligible for two of the three scholarships. Applications posted after March 30th but before July 1st, 2020 will be eligible for the last scholarship.

Dubuque & Delaware Counties Coalition Against Domestic Violence-outdated 
Student must be a Senior at a high school in Dubuque or Delaware County, Iowa and plan to continue their education at a college, university, community college or trade school in the 2020-2021 school year.  Student must complete the general application.  Student must submit a 500 word essay addressing: How has domestic violence impacted your life thus far? and/or How you anticipate taking a stand against domestic violence in the future?  Student must submit one (1) recommendation letter from a non-family member.  Deadline: February 1, 2020

Dubuque Area Labor-Management Council - Outdated
Must intend to become employed in either Dubuque, Jo Daviess, or Grant counties following completion of your education program. Must be a immediate family member of individuals who are members of unions or who work for employers belonging to the DALMC, individuals employed at corporate sponsors of Summerfest Dubuque, eligible for assistance und the Workforce Investment Act or National Guard and Reserve personnel who have served. Dubuque County Right to Life, Inc
Graduating Seniors who will attend college, students must submit a written copy of a pro-life speech (5-10 minutes) on the theme "Pro-Life until the End"  Finalist will be chosen by the quality of the written speech.  If chosen as a finalist, the student must participate in a speech contest on Saturday April 20, 2019 9:00am-12, in Dubuque.   Scholarship amount of up to $10,000 available to split up at the discretion of the judges.  Deadline for Written Speech, log of service hours, and recommendation letter must be uploaded to the DCRTL website by Friday, March 13, 2020.

Dubuque Soil & Water Conservation District
Criteria considered for the scholarship award will be 20 points for Involvement, Leadership, & Character, 20 points for Career, 30 points for Scholastic Achievement and 30 points for Conservation Message.  Please note: Applicants need to be entering into a field of Conservation or Agriculture to qualify.   Deadline: February 14, 2020

Dupaco R.W. Hoefer Foundation College Scholarship
Must be a high school senior and a member of Dupaco and planning on attending an accredited community college, trade school, technical college or university. Applications will be judged on scholastic standing, extracurricular activities, financial need and a creative piece. Available for all students who are involved in at least one extracurricular activity. Gasser Hardware Scholarship
The Gasser Hardware Scholarship is awarded to a deserving boy or girl who is pursuing a business or ag-related degree at an accredited two or four-year college.  One scholarship in the amount of five hundred dollars($500.00) will be awarded annually to a qualified applicant. Grand Lodge of Iowa, A.F. & A.M. - Masonic Scholarship-outdated
This scholarship is designed to assist graduating seniors in pursuing a post-secondary education in any state at an accredited institution which provides two or four year college program.  Applications need not have a Masonic connection, nor do race, creed, religion, color, sex, or national origin have any bearing on selection process.  Recipients are selected after completing a comprehensive written application and an in-depth personal interview.  Deadline: February 1, 2020

Grand Lodge of Iowa, A.F. & A.M. - MCEC Technical Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a number of graduating Iowa High school seniors who plan to enroll in a mechanical or trade course of study at an accredited Iowa Community College.  This scholarship may be used for any bona fide school related expenses such as tuition, fees, books and tools. A masonic connection is preferred , but not required.  Recipients are selected after completing a comprehensive written application. There will not be interviews of applicants.  Race, creed, religion, sex, color or national origin have no bearing in the selection process. Deadline: March 1, 2020

Available to juniors in an Iowa high school or a home-school program who will be advancing to a senior level by the October presentation dad. IBA- Iowa Bankers Association-outdated
The Iowa Bankers Association(IBA) is proud to sponsor a $1,000 Student Athlete Achievement Award Scholarship in wrestling, in conjunction with the Iowa High School Athletic Association and the 2019 state wrestling tournament.  In addition to the $1,000 scholarship, the recipient must be able to travel to Des Moines on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2019, for the recording of the award presentation, which will be aired during the televised broadcast of the Iowa High School State Wrestling Championships on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2019. Iowa Hospital Association looking for students interested in health care positions.  The ultimate goal of this program is to fill Iowa Health care positions.  The scholarship amount is $3500.  Deadline is March 30, 2020

IAS Innovative Ag Services
IAS will select eight recipients to receive a $1,000 Ag Scholarship.  Parent or guardian must be an active patron of Innovative Ag Services, having purchased production supplies from the cooperative or sold grain to the cooperative within the past year.  Students must be a graduating high school senior who will be majoring in an agricultural related field of study.  Students must attend an accredited college or university.  Applicant must enroll as a full-time student.  Applicant will also go in the pool for the $1,000 Friedman scholarship. Deadline: March 1, 2020  -Application must be postmarked by this date.

 Iowa 4-H Foundation Scholarships-outdated

Iowa 4-H members are eligible to apply for 4-H scholarships if they meet individual scholarship requirements (i.e. designated college and/or major program of study, county of residence, 4-H event participation, etc.)  Applicants must enroll as a full-time student (minimum of 12 credit hours) to receive scholarship awards. Only ONE application form is needed for all Iowa 4-H scholarships. Eligible Iowa 4-H youth may apply for more than one scholarship, however, only one scholarship per individual will be awarded per academic year. Please visit the links below for more information. 

To be eligible for any of the Iowa 4-H Foundation Scholarships 2 letters of recommendation are required - one from an Extension staff member or 4-H volunteer and one from a school/college academic advisor or teacher.  College undergraduates may submit both letters from academic advisors.

Iowa Automobile Dealers Foundation for Education - Outdated
Applicants must be committed to the pursuit of automotive-related studies, such as technician training, body shop/collision repair, diesel, new vehicle sales, part sales, accounting, or business administration.  A letter written by the applicant detailing their career goals and interest in pursuing an automotive career.  A recommendation from a high school or college teacher, counselor, or co-worker.  An unofficial transcript of high school or college grades.  A copy of the applicant's Expected Family Contribution from the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).  An optional statement of support or recommendation from an IADA member dealership is recommended, but not required.  Deadline: Due to IADA by March 1, 2019.

Iowa Communications Alliance
Applicants must be a graduating senior or current enrolled in an institution of higher learning, be accepted/ or be enrolled by an accredited two or four year college/university or vocational school; receive any local telecommunication service from an Iowa Communications Alliance member and be from a rural area.  Have a least a C grade point average; express interest to live and work in a rural community following graduation.  Student must also be sponsored by your local telecommunications service provider (contact your provider to determine if they are a member).  Must complete a 300 word essay.  Deadline: March 11, 2020

Iowa Environmental Health Association(IEHA) Scholarship-outdated
Must be a resident of the State of Iowa, a high school senior OR a non-traditional student returning to college in the State of Iowa and also Currently a full-time student at any college, university, or community college in the State of Iowa. Recipient must be majoring in Environmental Health or a related field.   $500 for the school year, scholarship monies will be paid directly to the college or university.  Application deadline is February 1, 2020

Iowa Farm Bureau Federation Scholarships
Must be a son or daughter of an Iowa Bureau member, accepted in an accredited college, university or community college, working towards a degree in an occupational area of agriculture and/or agribusiness. Iowa Farm Bureau annually awards $1,000 renewable scholarships to high school and college students working toward a two-year or four-year undergraduate degree. This Scholarship is for tuition fees only. Applicatons available online and are due February 28, 2020.
Iowa Foundation for Agricultural Advancement (IFFA) - Outdated
IFAA Winner's Circle Scholarships are available to students currently enrolled in an agricultural program at any two- or four-year college or university in Iowa. Awards range from $500 to $5,000. Deadline: April 1, 2019
Iowa Horse Council Scholarship-outdated
The IHC provides scholarships for qualified students who wish to pursue a career in the equine industry.  Students must be Iowa residents and current members in good standing of the Iowa Hors Council of one of its affiliated organizations.  The amount of the scholarship varies each year-this year we were pleased to present a $750 scholarship to each of our recipients. 
The application deadline is February 1, 2020 for the 2020-2021 academic year scholarship.

Iowa's Matthew Shepard Scholarship Program - Outdated
Graduating Iowa High School Senior, GPA of 3.0 or better.  ACT of 22 or better, Openly Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender or Queer.  Demonstrable LGBTQ activism and community service.  High moral and ethical standards and conduct.   Deadline March 1, 2018 


Iowa Newspaper Foundation Scholarships 
This is for students preparing for careers in media.  The Iowa Newspaper Foundation offers scholarships for Iowa College students preparing for a career in media. Students at any class level (college freshman through senior in the fall of 2016) are encouraged to apply.  Scholarship awards typically range between $500 and $1,000.  Deadline to complete applications is Feb 14, 2020

Iowa PGA Section Foundation-In Memory of Charlie Burkart - outdated
Any graduating high school senior or previous graduate residing within the boundaries of the Iowa PGA section and the State of Iowa is eligible to apply.  The Iowa PGA section is bounded on the west by U.S. Hwy 71 and includes an area of western Illinois.  Scholarship winners are selected on the basis of their interest and activity in golf, the potential for future contributions to the game, leadership skills/community involvement, then on their academic/professional ability and financial need.  Applicants must email/mail completed application to the scholarship committee on or prior to the Deadline: June 14, 2019

Iowa Society Daughters of the American Revolution - Outdated
The Iowa State DAR Society awards one scholarship annually (currently $500).  The student must be an American Citizen, an Iowa resident and planning to attend an Iowa college, University or Technical School.   Students wishing to apply for this scholarship need to contact an Iowa DAR chapter for sponsorship.  Deadline: February 1, 2018

The MVP scholarship is a four-year, full tuition award for 100 multicultural Iowa high school students. MVP is more than just a scholarship; it's a learning community of students all beginning a journey together towards a long-lasting legacy of excellence.  Deadline to apply is December 1, 2019

Jones County Cattlemen's Scholarship 
Applicants must be a graduating high school senior.  Must demonstrate a commitment to a career in the agricultural industry through classes, internships or life experiences.  Applicant's parent(s) must be a paid member of the Jones County/Iowa Cattlemen's Association.  At least one scholarship of $1000 will be awarded to an outstanding student who is pursuing a career in agriculture.  Fields of study my include, ag education, communications, production, research or any other area involved with the agriculture industry.  The purpose of this program is to identify and encourage talented and thoughtful students who will emerge as industry leaders.  Scholarship funds will be awarded to student after completion of their first year of college.  Deadline: Postmarked by March 2, 2020

Jones County Community Foundation - Outdated

Mattress Advisor Sleep Scholarship

Applicants must be enrolled, or due to be enrolled, as a full-time student at an accredited US college or university for the semester that they are applying to receive the scholarship. Domestic, international, online and undocumented students are welcome to apply.

Applicants are welcome to submit their entry before the deadline on March 20th every year. Mattress Advisor will contact the winning applicant and their institution’s financial aid office the following week to gift a $1000 check towards educational expenses. The scholarship is non-renewable.

The Pearl Hull Falk Scholarship
