There was once a seamstress who wanted to be a singer. One day she found a bottle and rubbed it. Inside was a geinie. The geinie gave her three wishes. For her first wish, she wished to be a Singer. The wish was granted and the seamstress turned into a sewing machine.
Hi there, my name is Dara McAllister. I started teaching at CHS in 2020. I teach Family and Consumer Sciences. Sewing and cooking are two of my biggest passions and I love sharing them with my students.
I graduated high school from Waverly - Shell Rock in 2014. I then decided to get my undergraduate from Brigham Young University Idaho. Following my time in Idaho, I student taught at Mesa High in Mesa, AZ. Upon returning to Iowa, I taught my first year in Fort Dodge. Then I made the decision to take a new job in Cascade. I now teach a wide variety of classes including Culinary Essentials, Bakery, Fashion, and Textiles.
